If a patient is missing two or more teeth, but there are enough own teeth and a bridge cannot be completed, then we can create a partial prosthesis. This is smaller than a complete prosthesis. A more elegant, but more expensive alternative of a partial prosthesis is a telescopic prosthesis or a telescopic bridge.
